What we offer

Competitive Edge College Consulting, LLC strives to minimize the stress of college admissions by formulating an individual college admissions plan for each student.  Early in the process, we meet to discuss expectations and goals of the college experience.  We assess courses taken, grade point average, SAT scores, extracurricular activities and any additional strengths to create a thorough list of high reach, likely and safety schools. Through preparation and organization, we help each student to expose their individual strengths in all aspects of their college applications. With knowledge about the campus environments, insight into the admissions process at each college and a real desire to find a good-fit college for each client, Competitive Edge College Consulting, LLC aims to make each student feel valued in this college search process.

 

 Specific services that we provide include:

  • Thorough evaluation of high school transcript and recommendations on course selections

  • Review of Do What You Are, a personality assessment that can assist with college and career choice

  • Review of our exclusive survey identifying important college characteristics

  • Personalized college list specifying high reach, reach, likely and safety categories

  • Help with PSAT, SAT I, SAT II and ACT selection and timing

  • Assistance creating a college resume that highlights each student’s unique strengths

  • Suggestions on how to follow-through with teacher recommendations and personal references

  • Front-end essay brainstorming that results in a strong and logical outline

  • Preparation and feedback for all aspects of the college visit and interview

  • Assistance organizing the entire application process

  • Suggestions on useful and appropriate summer programs, travel and/or other enrichment activities
