Get to know student, their academic history, extracurricular interests and any particular college preferences and/or thoughts they may have. 

Copy of transcript.  PSAT/SAT scores, signed contract and check for half of fee.

Review Choosing Your College and Do What You Are results.  Begin to create personal college profile.  Set SAT I, SAT II and ACT test schedule.

Optional meeting for parents.  Review parent survey and additional college concerns or considerations.

Jan-May, junior year (cannot complete until PSAT completed)

College List Presentation

Narrow down list of colleges based on student research.  Discuss teacher recommendations, SAT/ACT schedule and preparation and college visits.

Resume and cover letter preparation, college visits, feedback on college list.

Essay brainstorm, outline. (email rough draft after the meeting to get feedback on start.)

Sept-Oct, senior year

Review applications received and discuss presentation, resume/cover letter, essay, teacher recommendations, transcripts and another application issues.  Review completed college application checklist. 

Applications received (bring a hard copy of every application, including a hard copy of online apps.)  Completed college application checklist.

Sept-Oct, senior year

Review applications online or on paper.  Feedback on essays, cover letters, contact with colleges. 

Applications in progress (review in hard copy form.)  Completed college application checklist.

Oct-Nov, senior year

Final review of applications.  Applications done by early December of senior year.

Bring in all hardcopy apps.  We will review online apps together.

1 ½ hour

Dec-April, senior year

Review initial college criteria and personality assessment to help student determine college to attend.  This will occur at different times, depending on which application deadline individual students choose to pursue.

All letters of acceptance from colleges considering.
